Hubsan X4 H107C Mini Drone Review (and H107D as well)
First Impressions of the Hubsan X4 H107C/H107D Mini Drones
Ideal for beginners or as a training quadcoptor, the first thing that comes to mind upon opening the box of the Hubsan X4 is the excellent build quality. The body consists of a two-piece design, with the arms holding the motor firmly in place and offers the option of a Protection Ring for first time users. There are small LED’s at the back of the micro drone to help with orientation when flying.
Hubsan X4’s joystick collaboration is relatively straight forward and there is an option to switch between stabilized and manual flight control modes if you want more control over the micro drone. on the higher end X4 H107D, a high quality LCD screen relays instant feedback from the on-board 0.3 Megapixel camera, allowing you to see what the mini drone is seeing.
Essentially, this mini drone can be flown straight from the box and the simplicity in setting up the Hubsan X4, coupled with the basic controls allows maximum enjoyment with minimal waiting time.

Camera, Video and Recording Capabilities
A huge attraction is the Hubsan X4 Quadcoptor FPV camera capabilities – keep in mind, the FPV function only comes with the higher end model Hubsan.X4 H107D, and not the H107C. The 0.3 Megapixel camera broadcasts back to the controller instantaneously, offering real-time footage of what it sees. The range is a very respectable 100 meters and works equally well both indoors and outdoors, with an option of recording footage on a Micro SD card. Video footage is recorded in 720 x 240 at 60fps in AVI format.
Although the footage isn’t of the same quality as more expensive or advanced micro drones, it is perfect for having fun and adds to the already thoroughly enjoyable experience of flying the Mini drone. If you are using the Hubsan X4 Quadcoptor as a trainer for bigger, more expensive drones than the footage is perfect for studying how you might improve certain maneuvers etc.
The Hubsan X4 Quadcoptor is a fun and easy way to get better at flying and getting the feel for controls and orientation coordination. It has highly impressive specs for a micro drone and when flying you will quickly gain confidence in your ability. Features such as the instantaneous video link increase the pleasure as it allows you to take in the sights from above. Suitable for anybody, as a fun gadget or a trainer for larger drones, the Hubsan X4 Quadcoptor represents excellent value.
